Your membership in the credit union begins with the share account. It gives you the right as a full member of the credit union. Every member or prospective member of AACCU shall be required to own at least the minimum shares in compliance with the Co-operative Decree 252 of 1968. The minimum share requirement of AACCU shall be determined from time to time by the Board of Directors. This amount can only be withdrawn on retirement or when the member decides to terminate his or her membership by closing his or her account with the credit union. Currently, the minimum share requirement of AACCU is Two Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS 200.00), that is 10 shares at GHS 20.00.
